In contrast to the less-than-heartwarming tales of the Crime Cocktails series, we hope to release a comic novel – basically, a progressive narrative of near-cartoonish misunderstandings which take place in and around the fictitious English town of Walston in the 1970s. Entitled Brightways, the story opens with a mysterious explosion which occurred at a supermarket in the Brightways shopping centre, and is followed by a succession of similarly unexplained, yet equally incendiary, events. Though completed, this book still needs additional edits and formatting. However, in a world where laughter is currently at a premium, this bizarre sequence of events which calamitously unfolds, provides an anchor for anyone wishing to escape the humourless greyness of today’s equally unbelievable reality.
